Brightline Air Quality Monitoring— ABC and San Francisco Examiner Coverage

As the late 2023 summer wildfire smoke rolled in from Oregon all across California, ABC News covered Brightline’s air quality monitoring work for low-income and underserved communities in San Francisco. The air quality sensors are built by Clarity Movement Co. and were sited with a lot of input from local low-income tenants and families. Watch it here.
Additionally, the San Francisco Examiner recently interviewed Brightline's Air Quality Coordinator, Caro Correa, and tenant leaders Gregg Johnson and Stephen Tennis on SRO residents' ongoing air quality concerns. Given the conditions of SROs, "residents suffer among the worst urban environmental injustices," especially during wildfire season. Brightline and Central City SRO Collaborative are continuing our advocacy for more air filtration resources in frontline communities that bear the brunt of climate change. Read the article here.
